Dental X-rays are images of your teeth that the dentist use to evaluate your oral health. They help the dentist to identify problems like cavities, tooth decay and impacted teeth.
Orthopantomograph (OPG) is a special type of X-ray image that displays all the teeth of upper and lower jaw on a single film. An OPG reveals problems with the jawbone and the joint which connects the jawbone to the head, called the temporomandibular joint or TMJ. It also helps in planning of orthodontic treatment, for assessment of wisdom teeth and for general overview of teeth and bone which supports the teeth.
